Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Device
❐ Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard. Do not allow
the cable to hang over the edge of tables or kitchen counters. Others may become caught
and pull the device down.
❐ Position the cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not
come into contact with hot surfaces.
❐ Never unscrew the cap on the water reservoir during use! The water reservoir is pres-
surised. Always make sure that the water reservoir is fi rmly shut before you use the device
❐ Always work with suffi cient lighting.
❐ Never use the device without water!
❐ Do not use any other accessories. Use only accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
❐ Do not overfi ll the water reservoir. Do not pour more than 255 ml of water into the water
reservoir. Both tap water and distilled water can be used to fi ll the device. However, to ensu-
re that your device can be used for a long time, we recommend that you use distilled water.
❐ Never pour any cleaning agent or other chemical additives into the water reservoir. This
could destroy the device and safe working is no longer guaranteed.
❐ Never cover up the steam outlet opening and do not stick any objects into it.
❐ Maintain a suffi cient distance from heat sources such as hobs or ovens in order not to
damage the device.
❐ Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
❐ Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fl uctuations,
direct sunlight or moisture.
❐ Always try cleaning fi rst at a small, inconspicuous spot.
❐ Never direct the steam at one spot for too long.
❐ Never use the device on cold glass surfaces. The hot steam could cause the glass to shatter.
❐ In the case of surfaces treated with wax, the heat and steam may remove the wax!
❐ Always hold the device horizontally during use.
❐ Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents (e. g. vinegar) or cleaning pads to
clean the device.
❐ No liquid must be allowed to enter the device during cleaning. This may cause considerable
damage to the device.
❐ Put the device back into its storage position only once it has completely cooled down and
there is no more water in the water reservoir.
❐ Store the device in a dry, clean place that is not accessible to children.
Warranty Terms
The warranty does not cover faults caused by incorrect handling, damage, calcifi cation or
repair attempts. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
