– Press the "Hold/Copy" button 21 again to end the "Hold"
function. The stored value is deleted. Normal measurement
is continued.
"Copy" function:
– Long press the "Hold/Copy" button 21. The current meas-
uring value d and indicator "H" flash.
– The measuring value can be readjusted as long as the
measuring value flashes (3 seconds). Press the button for
changing the unit of measure 19 to increase the value and
press the "Cal" button 20 to decrease the value.
– If the measuring value is not corrected, it will flash for 3 sec-
onds, then it will be stored and then it moves to the current
measurement. Indicator "H" is shown continuously on the
display.
– To retrieve the copied value, briefly press the "Hold/Copy"
button 21 again.
– Place the measuring tool in the location to which the meas-
uring value is to be transferred. When doing so, the align-
ment of the measuring tool is irrelevant. The alignment aids
a show which direction the measuring tool has to be moved
in to reach the grade you want to copy. When the stored
grade is reached, an audio signal sounds and the alignment
aids a go out.
– Briefly press the "Hold/Copy" button 21 again to return to
normal measurement. Indicator "H" is shown continuously
on the display.
– Long press the "Hold/Copy" button 21 to store a new
value.
– To delete a "Hold" value, briefly press the "ON/OFF"
button.
Changing the Zero Point
For easier checking of grades (e.g. 45°), the zero point of a
measurement can be changed.
Align the measuring tool by placing it against a reference work-
piece in such a manner that the desired new zero point is dis-
played as the measuring value (e.g., 45.1°). Press the "Alt 0°"
button 17. The measured value d and the indicator for a
changed zero point i flash.
You can correct roughly measured values as long as the meas-
uring value d is flashing: Press the button for increasing the dis-
play value 19 to increase the stored measuring value, and the
button for decreasing the display value 20 to decrease it (e.g.
from 45.1° to 45.0°). The displayed grade value will be stored
as the new reference value 3 seconds after the last button
press.
In measuring indicator d the current measuring value is shown
based on the new zero point, and the alignment aids and audio
signals are based on the new zero point. Example: At a grade of
43.8° in relation to the horizontal and a stored zero point of
45°, 1.2° is shown as the measuring value.
To return to the standard zero point 0°, briefly press the
"ON/OFF" button. When doing so, the "Hold" value will also be
deleted.
Contact-free Measuring/Transferring of Grades
With the laser, it is possible to measure and transfer grades
contact-free, even over greater distances.
 Do not point the laser beam at persons or animals and do
not look into the laser beam yourself, not even from a
large distance.
 Always use the centre of the laser point for marking. The
size of the laser point changes with the distance.
To measure grades, align the measuring tool in such a manner
that the laser beam runs alongside the surface to be measured.
To transfer grades, align the measuring tool in such a manner
that the desired grade is displayed as measuring value d, and
mark the grade on the target surface using the laser point.
Note: When transferring grades via laser, take into considera-
tion that the laser comes out 30 mm above the bottom edge of
the measuring tool.
Accuracy Check and Calibration of the
Measuring Tool
Checking the Measuring Accuracy (see figure E)
Check the accuracy of the measuring tool prior to critical
measurements, after intense variations in temperature as well
as after heavy impact.
Before measuring angles <45°, the accuracy check should
take place on a level and roughly horizontal surface; before
measuring angles >45°, on a level and roughly vertical surface.
Switch the measuring tool on and place it on the horizontal or
vertical surface.
