Cleaning and reprocessing

1. Super 1200 LED should be sterilized befor first use and before each use
there after.
2. Prior to cleaning, Super 1200 LED must be dismantled into its component
parts (handpiece, storage battery, light guide rod and eye protection).
3. Avoid the use of detergents or material which contains flammable ingre-
dients unless they have evaporated completely.
4. Use only with adequate cleaning and disinfection.
Light Guide rod
Note: When removing the light guide rod for sterilization, remove it carefully
from the handpiece. Do not bend, as the light guide rod could break!
- Avoid contact with hard objects to avoid scratching.
- Replace damaged light guide rod
- Clean the light guide rod to remove saliva and impurities prior to auto-
claving; cleaning should be performed by means of gentle rubbing off
of the surface using a cleaning solution and subsequent secondary rub-
bing with a dry cloth – do not use any metal instruments! The light guide
rod can be sterilized for 18 minutes at 135° C and 220 kPa.
Handpiece, storage battery, battery charger base
- The battery charger base must be disconnected from power prior to
cleaning or disinfecting in order to prevent electrical shock.
- Use disinfectant cloths to clean the surfaces. Do not use corrosive or
grinding cleaners and no ultrasonic cleaner by any means!
- Use dry a cloth to carefully dry the componens.
