Super 1200 LED contains a blue LED and is a device that generates light of
high intensity (> 1,200 mW /cm²) to polymerise light-curing materials to be
used in dentistry. In contrast to halogen light, which generates a full-light
spectrum, it emits light within the wavelength-range of 440 to 480 nm. Due
to the smaller wavelength-range, the polymerisation performance of an LED
light, at a certain intensity of light – similar to a halogen light – is related to a
higher intensity of light.
Although the majority of light-hardening dental materials react to this range,
you should consult the representative or the manufacturer of the materials in
order to be advised of the correct procedures and technical data.
