The red LED indicates a fault:
LED display Cause
Flashing Inverse polarity
Flashing Battery voltage < 9 V
Constantly lit Battery no longer connected
Fuse in the connection cable
was tripped

Remedy
Check the cables and connections.
The battery cannot be charged.
Replace the battery.
The connection to the battery was
disconnected during the charging
process.
Check the cables and connections.
Replace the fuse (10 A plug-in fuse for
vehicles)
