b) Operation
• Switch the metal detector with the "mode" switch to position "TR1" after you have made the basic settings. In this setting, the
metal detector will differentiate between very different metals.
• Set the volume controller "Volume" to the desired volume by turning the setting controller "Volume" from the left stop or the
ten o'clock position slowly to the right.
• Place different metals (watches, gold rings, metal scrap, iron, silver, etc.) on a wooden table or in your garden. Ensure that the
search objects are at sufficient distances from each other.
• Search each of the metals put out in sequence and remember the visual and acoustic signals.
• For strongly iron-containing search objects, the display unit will deflect to the left into the area "Ferrous". The closer you will
move the search probe past the object, the larger the indication will be. There will be no sound signal in this search result.
• To refine the search result, switch the switch "Mode" to the setting "TR2". Then push the red button in the handle to set the
display unit to zero. Check the search result again by searching the place of the find again. The further the display unit de-
flects to the left, the lower the precious metal content and the higher the aluminium content of the object will likely be.
• For search objects with a low iron content or other metal alloys such as gold, silver, copper, platinum, aluminium, lead or zinc,
the display unit will deflect to the right into the area "Non Ferrous". The closer you will move the search probe past the object,
the larger the indication will be.
• There will be a sound signal in this search result. The closer you will move the search probe past the object, the higher the
sound will be. Three tones (low, medium and high) are differentiated here (three-tone discrimination).
At frequent search results and/or too-hectic searches, it is possible that the metal detector will no longer properly
discriminate between the objects found. The pointer may, e.g., no longer react and/or the tone discrimination will no
longer work. In this case, wait for a few seconds until the electronics have processed all search results or push the
red button in the handle.
