6. Installation and initial use
Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the accessories thoroughly (mix-
ing bowl, beater, whisk, dough hook, splash guard for mixing bowl). These parts are
dishwasher-safe.
Attach the accessories as instructed in the following sections.
Connect the food processor to a 220 - 240 V ~ 50/60 Hz mains socket after the
accessories have been attached.
NOTE
The appliance is driven by an electric motor. This can lead to a slight
smell during initial operation. This smell is normal and is not a sign of
malfunction. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation.
6.1. Fitting the mixing/kneading attachment
Press the tilting arm release button to tilt the arm upwards. The tilting arm must
audibly click into place.
Place the mixing or kneading attachment on
the fitting on the underside of the tilting arm.
Ensure that the locating pin fits into the recess
on the attachment. Press the attachment up-
wards and tighten in an anticlockwise direc-
tion.
Insert the mixing bowl into the base plate and
rotate in a clockwise direction until it sits firm-
ly in place.
