Overheating protection system
The egg boiler is provided with an overheating
protection system that in case of improper ope-
ration protects the appliance against damages.
If the appliance is operated without water by
mistake, there appears a beep after some se-
conds and the overheating safety system turns
the thermostat off. In this case, pull the power
plug and let the appliance cool off for some mi-
nutes before operating it again (Attention! Do
not pour water on the hot heating unit).
Temperature protection system
Apart from the automatic overheating protec-
tion system the egg boiler is additionally pro-
vided with a temperature protection system.
If the overheating protection fails in case of
improper operation, the temperature protec-
tion system separates the appliance from the
current entry. In this case you will have to bring
your egg boiler to the Cloer specialist dealer or
Cloer customer service as a repeated starting-
up is not possible any more.
Cleaning / decalcification
Calcification on the heating unit has a negati-
ve effect on the functioning of the appliance.
This is why the appliance should be regularly
decalcified. For decalcification, add a dash of
vinegar to the water. Fill the vinegar water into
the heating unit and let it boil away without lid.
After that, clean the heating unit by means of a
damp, soft cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning
agents or sharp objects as this could damage
the coating.
Egg carrier, insert for poached eggs (6099) as
well as the cover are dishwasher-safe.
Warranty void in case of improper function-
ing due to decalcification!
