Hard-Tissue Procedures
The MLD-810 Laser is not intended to be used for hard-tissue procedures. The diode
laser is attracted to melanin, hemoglobin and, to some extent, water and oxygenated
hemoglobin. Avoid prolonged exposure when working in and around the cervical
areas of the tooth. Because of the thin layer of enamel in this area, the laser's energy
may be absorbed by the hemoglobin in the pulp, and pulpal hyperemia may occur.
Extended exposure to laser energy could cause pain and pulpal necrosis.
