Attention: water pressure max. 3 bar. Water may only be connected to ball valve, as
otherwise a damage on the casing may appear by upcoming water pressure.
Please use a GARDENA coupling as the connecting piece to the machine and the frequency converter.
This can be obtained from a garden center or builders' merchant made of platics. A water coupling of
brass of high quality can be received directly from WEKA.
Use only clean water, as dirty water will considerably disturb the heat exchange on the cooling surface
and thereby the motor can be totally damaged.
Else the seals wear out very quickly.
If water exits of the leakage hole at the gear, the water seals have to be exchanged
immediately. This shoud only be done in an authorized repair station. Attention: Under
full load there are at least 1 l of water per minute required. Open the ball valve after use,
so that the cooling gap can empty. This is mainly required in the cold season - danger of
frost.

Dry sawing
If you intend to saw dry, the motor still has to be cooled suffiently with water. On the side of the gear
there is a valve. Turn the grip downwards and connect a hose to the plug-in nozzle via a DN 7,5 coupling
via which the water can flow out.

Cutting with a guide rail
As an accessory there is a guide rail available which can be fixed with two dowels to the material that
need to be cutted and thus you can guide the HS 40 easier, safer and with less power need.

Diamond saw blade (Cutting tool)
The saw blade diameter should be 400mm. Smaller saw blades can be used also, but due to the fixed
circumferential speed these are not so efficient. Bigger diameters must not be used. The hole of the saw
blade has to be 15,85 mm (5/8").
Use only appropriate and well cutting high quality diamond tools. Take care that the diamond segments
overlap sufficiently over the blade body.
Remove the blade guard by loosening the two nuts in the brackets.
Fit the tool only the the cleaned spindle for avoiding faults in concentricity.
Fasten the tool the the screw M8 to the spindle securely.
Never work without blade guard.
Handle the blades with care. If single segments are missing or the blade is bad stressed, afflicted with
a fault in concentricity or wobble, dangerous unbalances can arise that can lead to damages on the saw
or can endanger the operator.
Our distributors are specialists for these blades. Please be consulted fully bevor deciding for a saw
blade.
Use the saw blade always in the same turning direction.

Flush cutting
For flush cutting please use following parts:
Flush blade guard HS40303, Distance disc HS40213, Set screw M8x10 - 0718010 for locking the
spindle hole, 3 Countersink head screws for fixing the diamond blade M6x10 - 0406010.
Assemble the distance disc on the spindle flange in that direction that it engages in the six grooves. Fix
the diamond blade with the three countersink head screws. Lock the spindle hole with the set screw.

At first mark the cutting line.
Put the saw to the material that needs to be cutted and start the motor by the mains switch that is
integrated in the handle.
Now turn the handle anti-clockwise for releasing the blockade of the dip feed. Now dip into the material
so that the saw can only be moved now in feed direction. Now block the dip feed again by fastening the
handle clockwise. Guide the saw an the marked line until you have reached your destination.
