6 Installation circulation

6.1 Installation location and position
The valve must only be installed into a clean pipework
system and must only be operated with a clean unpolluted
fl uid. The valve can be installed in any position (horizontal,
oblique or vertical, in ascending or descending sections).
The direction of fl ow has to conform to the direction of
the arrow on the valve body. The valve should be easily
accessible. The national standards must be observed.
When installing the valve, please ensure that there
is enough space for the insulation shells!
The actuator, fi eld module and insulation should be
stored separately during construction to avoid
damage and contamination.
6.2 Pipe connection
The valve features male threads according to ISO 228
or female threads according to EN 10226-1.

CAUTION
– Do not use any greasing agents or oil for
the installation, as these can destroy the
valve seals. Any dirt particles or grease
or oil residues must be flushed out
before the valve is installed.
– Please protect against external forces
(e.g. impacts, vibrations etc.).
6.3 Isolation/ opening of the valve
Remove valve insulation! Close the valve by turning
the hexagon stem (size 14) clockwise by hand or with
the help of a spanner. Over-tightening of the cable
connection must be avoided!

The valve is opened by turning the hexagon stem
anticlockwise. The valve has to be opened until stop
to guarantee functioning.
