2.2 Before the first use
Unpack the toaster, remove all papers and plastics. Check if there are no packaging
pieces inside the slot. Make sure the crumb tray is completely positioned before
using.
Use a soft cloth to wipe the toaster housing.
As there is manufacturing residue or oil remained in the toaster or heat element, it
could emit some smell or smoke. It is normal and will not occur after several times
use.
Before the first use, heat up the toaster two or three times without bread at the
highest degree of toasting setting. Then let the toaster cool down and begin toasting
the first slice.
2.3 Caution
Do not toast different types of bread or slices of different thicknesses at the same
time.
Mixed cereal bread usually takes longer to toast than normal bread.
Do not spread butter, oil or similar on the bread before toasting.
Do not put any foodstuff with liquid or semi-liquid filling in the toaster.
Clean the crumb tray regularly to avoid fire.
If the toaster starts smoking, press the cancel button to stop the operation.
Never try to remove jammed bread in the slots without unplugging the toaster first
3 USING YOUR APPLIANCE
3.1 Toast function
Plug the power cord into the outlet.
Put bread slice into the bread slot, it can be inserted two slices at most every time.
Set the color control bar to your desired color. There is 7-position level, the lowest is
set white and the highest is dark. The middle position can toast the bread to golden
color.
When using the toaster for the first time we suggest you to toast on number 3.
When choosing the browning level, remember that dry bread and thin slices toast
quicker than fresh bread and thicker slices. So the browning selection will depend on
the type of bread, the quality of the bread and the thickness of the slices.
Press carriage handle down vertically until it is positioned in place. The appliance will
begin at once. Once the bread has been toasted to the preset color, the carriage
handle will be automatically pop up. To use the "extra lift" function, pull up manually
the carriage handle.
