IMPORTANT: To avoid imprecise measuring
results you should not use your watch's
compass function
near magnetic objects, e.g. mobile phones,
loudspeakers and motors
near metallic objects
near electrical equipment
in reinforced concrete buildings
in a moving object.

Press the "MODE" key for
around 2 seconds to confirm
the settings.
If no key is pressed within a minute in
compass mode, the watch switches to the
stand-by mode "IDLE".
Press any key except "PILOT" and "LIGHT"
to re-activate the compass.
If a distortion is ascertained, the display
"OFF CALL" appears and the directional
indicator flashes. The compass must be
re-calibrated (see section 3.10.7, Calibration
of the compass).
The watch switches
back to barometer
indicator mode.
