SNOW CHUTE ASSEMBLY
Assemble Chute Deflector:
NOTE: The chute ring assembly (A, Figure 11) comes installed
on the unit from the factory.
1. Turn crank assembly (Figure 15) until the arrow on outer ring (B B , Fig-
ure 11) of chute ring assembly points forward.
NOTE: Make sure the slot in the chute ring aligns with the arrow
on the outer ring.
2. Install chute deflector (C C ) using four screws (D D ) and nuts (E E ) in holes
as shown. The chute deflector must point forward for proper installa-
tion.
3. Tighten screws snugly but be careful not to over-tighten.
Assemble Remote Deflector Cable:
1. Attach rod (A A , Figure 12) to deflector post.
2. Slide compression spring (B B ) over rod and insert into hole on chute
deflector bracket.
3. Attach remote deflector cable (C C ) to deflector post. Secure with push
nut (D D ).
NOTE: Before completing Step 4, make sure that the chute de-
flector is in the full open position.
4. Route remote deflector cable (C C ) through slot in chute deflector
bracket. Secure with nuts (E E ) and washers (F F ) on either side of bracket.
5. Check remote deflector chute for proper operation. Make adjustments
as necessary.
INSTALL THE DRIFT CUTTERS
Drift cutters are used to cut a path through snow deeper than the auger
housing.
1. On each side of the auger housing, insert carriage bolt (A A , Figure 13)
through upper hole.
2. Insert lower tab of drift cutter (B B ) into lower hole.
3. Secure with wing nuts (C C ).
