The protective functions of the lid
The lid of the blender is attached to the blender jug at various points so that it
fits absolutely securely and it is therefore impossible for it to come off the
blender jug during the blending process.
To detach the lid from the blender jug correctly, do the following:
1. Flip up the protective cap over the pouring opening before attempting to
remove the lid. Of course, you can now pour out the contents normally.
2. Now turn the lid counterclockwise (viewed from above) by holding the
blender jug with one hand and grasping the lid with the other.

3. Now push the rear end of the lid to the side with your thumb so that the lid
is no longer connected to the blender jug.
4. Then apply pressure to the lid from below with your thumb so that you can
lift it off the blender jug and lift it off completely.

The blending process
1. First fill liquids and soft ingredients into the blender jug, then solid ingre-
dients. If you are using fruit, it should ideally be defrosted or at least thawed
for best blending results.
Note
Generally, high speeds are recommended for larger and firmer ingredients.
Large ingredients should be chopped, if necessary, before placing them in the
blender jug.
2. Place the blender jug on the motor housing if it is not already standing on
it. Make sure that the motor is stationary. If the blender jug is stationary and
does not wobble, you can start the program selection.
3. Switch on the blender by pressing the POWER button.
4. Turn the setting wheel until the desired program is selected. This is indica-
ted by the corresponding symbol lighting up on the display. Then press the
setting wheel to start the selected program. The mixer starts mixing.

General tips for mixing and blending
If you have selected the SPEED program, you can adjust the speed of the
motor by turning the wheel. In general, it is recommended to select a high
blending speed for most ingredients. However, if you want to blend very firm
ingredients, start at a low speed first and then increase it as the ingredients
become smaller or softer.
If the contents of the blender jug stop moving, an air bubble has often formed.
Remove the protective cap from the lid and gently stir the contents of the
blender jug with the blender stick so that the air can escape.
