7. Mounting drill bits
Tighten drill bits with the chuck wrench.
There are three holes in which the chuck wrench should be inserted. Tighten them
equally in turn at three holes, without tightening them only at one hole. The dril bits can
be removed in the opposite method as mentioned above.
8. How to select drill bit
(1) When drilling holes in metals of plastics
Use ordinary metalworking drill bits, applicable drill sizes range from min. 1/32" (0.8mm)
(DV10V1), 1/16" (1.5mm) (D10VC), 3/64" (1.2mm) (D13V) to drill chuck capacity.
(2) When drilling holes in lumber
Use woodworking drill bits. For small holes of 1/4" (6.5mm) diam. or below, use
metalworking drill bits.
9. Attaching the hook
Fix the hook firmly to the M10 threaded hole in the gear cover using the provided M10
bolts.
CAUTION
When the power tool is used with a hook fixed to it , pay attention to the following
points:
Before hanging the main unit from the waist belt, make sure that the drill has come to
a complete stop.
While it is suspended from the waist belt, the power plug must be disconnected from
the power source.
Do not walk about with the power tool hanging from the waist belt.
In the case of operation in a high place, it is dangerous to drop the tool accidentally. If
the hook is deformed or hung from the wrong position, there is danger that the hook
will slip off and the tool will fall.
Be careful to avoid danger.
In making a through hole, the power tool sometimes shakes violently when the
workpiece is pierced, for example. Be careful you are not hurt by the hook even if such
situation happens.
When it is not necessary to use a hook , the tool should be used with the hook removed.
When attaching the hook, be sure the side handle is removed.
HOW TO USE THE DRILL
1. Pressing force of drill
You can not get holes quickly even if pressing it by strong more than necessary.
If not only damages the tip of drill bits and decreases the efficency of operation, but also
shortens the life of the drill.
2. In case of penetrating holes
It is subject to break the drill bits when penetrating. It is important to decrease pressing
