B. Pairing the Handset and Caller unit
This process is to securely match the caller unit with the handset so that they can communicate with each other
while no other unit (even your neighbour's own UltraCOM) can interfere with your installation or receive your signal.
The caller unit and handset are already paired with a factory preset code when they are shipped.
However, if any interferences occur during your usage, please perform a new pairing. You must also do a full learn
with all units together if you replace or add a new handset or caller station.
We recommend using backup batteries for this procedure. However, if using a DC power supply, please down power
the caller station and power up holding the pairing button
1. Place the caller unit and handset close to each other within a distance of 1 metre.
2. With the handset switched OFF, press and hold the red power ON/OFF button

together for around 3 sec to enter pairing mode. The LCD will become backlighted and show a flashing

The UltraCOM should now ne ready for operation and all your handsets should ring when calling.
If the pairing process is not successful (the

NOTE: In case you have two or more handsets, always perform the pairing process with ALL caller units AND
handsets together and with ALL handsets being set in pairing mode first (flashing
IMPORTANT: Remember every time you add on new units to the system, either a handset or a caller unit (for
back gate use), it is necessary to perform the pairing process all over again with all the units together or
otherwise the new units will not work with your original system.
