WARNING:
Always remove battery pack and start key from your tool
when you are assembling parts, making adjustments,
cleaning, or when not in use. Following these instructions
will prevent accidental starting that could cause serious
personal injury.
NOTICE:
Before each use, inspect the entire product for damaged,
missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps,
etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps and do not
operate this product until all missing or damaged parts
are replaced. Please contact customer service or an
authorized service center for assistance.
APPLICATIONS
You may use this product for the purpose listed below:
„ Mowing your lawn
WARNING:
Always remove battery pack and start key when moving
or transporting the mower to avoid accidental starting
that could result in serious personal injury.
INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERY PACK
See Figure 10.
„ Raise the battery cover.
„ Align raised ribs on battery pack with grooves in the
battery port and install the battery pack into the mower.
WARNING:
Make sure the latch on the bottom of the battery pack
snaps in place and the battery pack is fully seated and
secure in the mower's battery port before beginning
operation. Failure to securely seat the battery pack could
cause the battery pack to fall out, resulting in serious
personal injury.
„ Lower the battery cover and make sure it is securely
closed.
To remove battery pack:
„ Raise the battery cover.
„ Press and hold the battery latch button at the bottom of
the battery pack.
„ Remove battery pack from the mower.
„ Lower the battery cover and make sure it is securely closed.
For complete charging instructions, refer to the Operator's
Manuals for your battery pack and charger models.
OPERATION
WARNING:
To avoid accidental starting that could result in serious
personal injury, always remove the start key when moving
or transporting the mower.
NOTE: The battery storage compartment offers a convenient
place for storing your battery, or to store an extra battery
pack. The unit cannot be powered by the battery while it
is installed in the battery storage compartment; it must be
moved to the battery port in order to power the unit from
the battery port.
STARTING/STOPPING THE MOWER
See Figures 11 - 12.
NOTE: Mower will not start without the start key installed,
and the battery in the unit.
„ Raise the battery cover.
„ Install the battery pack into the rear battery port.
„ Insert the start key into the slot between the batteries in
the battery port.
NOTE: Make sure the battery is put in the active battery
port and not in the battery storage compartment.
„ Lower the battery cover and make sure it is securely
closed.
„ Press and hold the start button. Pull the bail toward the
handle and release the button to start the mower and
blade.
NOTE: Do not switch on the motor if the mower is tilted.
NOTE: The motor and blade will also start if the bail is pulled
first and the start button is pressed after.
„ To stop the mower, release the bail.
BLADE REPLACEMENT INDICATOR
See Figure 12.
The blade replacement indicator light turns red after a certain
amount of hours/uses indicating it is time to change the blades.
Refer to Replacing the Cutting Blades in Maintenance.
To reset:
„ Reinstall the start key and reconnect the battery pack.
„ Engage and release the bail to illuminate the LED dash-
board.
„ Press and release the start button five times within three
seconds to reset.
