5. Closing the safe
Close the safe door and turn the knob anti-clockwise. The door is now locked.
6. Batteries
To activate the lock, 4 x 1.5 V AA alkaline batteries are required. The batteries will last for 2 years if the
lock is operated an average of 3 times a day. Due to the insufficient energy peak, long-life or rechargea-
ble batteries cannot be used.
PROBLEMS
The opening mechanism only works
sometimes or not at all, or the LED or
button sounds do not work.
The door is warped or the safe closes
with difficulty.
SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE
•
To minimise the risk of theft, the safe must be fixed to the floor.
•
The preset numerical code should be changed before using the safe.
•
Place the product in a stable, secure location, preferably not elevated, to prevent it from tipping over and causing
damage or injury to persons.
•
Keep liquids away from the control panel and battery compartment. If liquids get into electronic parts, they can
cause damage and lead to malfunctions.
•
Never attempt to disassemble the product yourself.
•
If maintenance is required, please contact your local service provider.
BATTERY SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
•
There is a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with the wrong type.
•
Only replace the battery with the same or equivalent type.
•
Use the correct type (AA battery).
•
WARNING! The batteries (battery block or built-in batteries) must not be exposed to excessive
heat, i.e. direct sunlight, fire or similar.
•
WARNING! Do not swallow the batteries as there is a risk of chemical burns.
•
The product contains batteries. If a battery is swallowed, it can cause internal burns and death
within 2 hours.
•
Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children.
•
If the battery compartment does not close properly, stop using the product and keep it out of the
reach of children.
•
If you believe that the batteries have been swallowed or have entered any part of the body, seek
medical treatment immediately.
•
Leaking battery acid can cause damage.
•
If batteries are leaking, remove them from the battery compartment with a cloth. Dispose of the
batteries properly.
•
If battery acid has leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Rinse the affect-
ed areas immediately after contact with the acid and wash them with plenty of clean water. Seek
