Emergency Exits
When installing an electro-magnetic
lock on emergency exits, it is imperative
to ensure that these exit points will
automatically release in the event of
a fire alarm to allow evacuation of the
premises. It is the responsibility of the
installer to obtain the approval of the
assigned Fire Officer on site for any
installations

required for the door.

electro-magnetic
lock on the secure
side of the door.

Make sure to choose
the right bracketry
for the installation.
Internal surface electro-magnetic locks range
Power Supply
An electro-magnetic lock always
operates in DC current and at low
voltage. The surface maglock range
from CDVI is therefore recommended
for use with power supplies that are also
manufactured by CDVI. However, other
power supplies may be used if they are
of equivalent quality and characteristics;
rectified, filtered, regulated, and with
primary and secondary fuse protection.

Select the right electro-
magnetic lock according
to the environment:
Internal or external use,
climate, etc.

Make sure that the door
frame and door leaf
receiving or supporting the
lock and its accessories
are solid and resistant to
damage or wear and tear
over a long period of time.

Lay cabling paths so
that wires are protected
against vandalism or other
environmental aspects by
using door loops, gutters,
plastic tubes etc.
