Assembly
Mounting handles with connecting element
► P. 3, fig. 2
– Insert the control handle (3) and handle (1) into
the holes in the connecting element (5). Make
sure that the control handle (3) is on the same
side as the cable holder of the connecting ele-
ment (5).
– Secure the entire unit with the fixture screws (9) to
the frame (6).
– Secure the frame (6) with the fixture screws (9) to
the device frame (11).
– Fit the cable clips (a)
Reducing the hoe width

– Undo the screws (14) on both sides and remove.
– Remove the additional hoe tool.
Expanding the hoe width
► P. 3, fig. 4
– Fit the additional hoe tool.
– Slide the screw (14) through the drilled holes and
the drive shaft on both sides.
– Secure with the nut (15).
Operation
Check to make sure the device is in safe operating
condition:
– Check to make sure there are no visible defects.
– Check to make sure all device components are
correctly mounted.
Setting the wheels and chopping spur

– Undo the locking screw (b) by pressing.
– Slide the wheels (10) upwards.
– Tighten the locking screw.

Starting the tool
► P. 3, fig. 6
– Hold the product with both hands.
– Activate the switch lock (2).
– Press the start button (4).
• The device starts.
Switching the device off

– Release the switch lock (2) and start button (4).
– After each use, unplug the power cable from the
power supply.

Chopping
DANGER! Risk of injury! Before starting
work check the area and remove all objects
which may be kicked up by the unit.
DANGER! Risk of injury! When working,
never let go of the steering.
DANGER! Risk of injury! If use on a slope
where there is a risk of slipping, the unit
must be secured by a second person with a
bar or a rope. The second person must be
positioned above the unit and at a safe dis-
tance from the chopping tool.
Always work at right angles to the slope,
never work up and down. Be particularly
careful when changing direction.
DANGER! Risk of injury! Remove trapped
objects only with the help of another object.
Before carrying out any maintenance or
cleaning work, the machine must be discon-
nected from the power and secured to pre-
vent accidental switch on.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the device! 
Do not move the unit with a rotating chop-
ping tool over cement or asphalt surfaces
etc.
The rotation direction of the chopping tool pulls the
device away from the user.
– To increase the depth achieved, brake the for-
wards motion of the device.
– When turning and pulling the device towards you,
be particularly careful.
Cleaning and maintenance
DANGER! Risk of injury! Never clean the
chopping tool when the motor is running.
Before carrying out any maintenance or
cleaning work, the machine must be discon-
nected from the power and secured to pre-
vent accidental switch on.
DANGER! Risk of injury! Carry out the
maintenance work described here in per-
son.
Improper maintenance work can damage
the device and lead to injuries.
CAUTION! Risk of injury! During and after
use, the chopping tool and drive system
may become hot!
Wear gloves when carrying out mainte-
nance work.
