If the unit is to be put out of operation defini-
tively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the environ-
ment.

3 Applications

By vaporizing a fog fluid, this fog machine will create
artificial fog which can be used to enhance any light
effects (e. g. in discotheques, on stage, in party rooms).
The cable remote control provided allows to oper-
ate the fog machine in three modes (manual mode,
continuous mode and timer mode). As an alternative to
the remote control, the unit can also be operated via a
DMX controller with DMX512 protocol. Thus, it is eas-
ily integrated into a professional lighting system.

4 Filling Up Fog Fluid

WARNING 1. While filling up fog fluid, the unit must
not be connected to the mains.
Always disconnect the mains plug
from the socket before filling up!
2. Never add flammable fluids of any
kind to the fog fluid! Explosion hazard!
3 The unit is not splashproof. If fluid
gets inside the unit, it must be
cleaned and checked by skilled per-
sonnel before it is operated.
1) Unscrew the tank cap (2).
2) Fill up the tank with fog fluid (→ chapter 4.1). If any
fluid is spilt, wipe it off immediately with a cloth so
that it will not get inside the unit.
3) Tightly close the tank.

4.1 Suitable fog fluid

The following fog fluids from "img Stage Line" suitable
for the unit are available in 5 litre containers:
Item
Feature
NF-502L
long fog effect
NF-502SL extra long fog effect
Only use the fluids listed above, otherwise no liability
will be accepted for correct operation.
The following scents by "img Stage Line" may be
added to the fog fluid:
Item
Scent
NF-32
Vanilla
NF-52
Coconut
NF-62
Mixed fruit

A bottle of scent (contents 25 ml) will be sufficient for
5 litres of fog fluid; higher quantities will clog the fog
machine.

5 Setting Up/Installing the Unit

G
The heat generated within the unit must be dissi-
pated by air circulation. Make sure that a minimum
space of 20 cm is provided around and above the
unit and that the air vents of the housing are not
covered.
G
During operation the fog output nozzle will become
very hot (300 °C). Always ensure a minimum dis-
tance of 50 cm to easily flammable material or
material sensitive to heat.
G
Never direct the fog output nozzle at persons. To
prevent injuries, keep a minimum distance of 60 cm
from the nozzle.
Remove the complete packaging material. Make sure
that there are no packaging remnants at the fog output
nozzle.
Place the unit on a horizontal surface or mount it via
its bracket (1) [e. g. on a cross arm via a mounting clip].
To adjust the unit as horizontally as possible, slightly
release the two screws (4) on both sides of the mount-
ing bracket, readjust the position of the unit, then
retighten the two screws. For reliable operation, the
maximum inclination of the fog machine must not
exceed 15°!

unit is installed at a place where people
may walk or sit under it, additionally
secure it, e. g. by a safety rope. For
attaching a safety rope, a safety lug (3)
is provided on the upper side of the unit.
Fasten the safety rope to the lug in such
a way that, in the event of a fall, the
maximum falling distance of the unit will
not exceed 20 cm.
