Use only the enclosed safety measuring leads or
equivalent measuring leads that fulfil the same meas-
uring category.
Switch, button and socket explanations
1. Hz/%
• To switch between frequency measurement and
duty cycle
2. SEL button
• Pressing this button switches the current measur-
ing function e.g from DC to AC

• When pressed, depending on function, either the
maximum or minimum value of the measurement
will be shown.
4. Input socket V/Ω
• Red measuring lead for all signal types permitted
by the device.
5. Grounding socket COM
• Black measuring lead for all signal types permit-
ted by the device.
6. μA/mA socket
• For current measurements of up to 600 mA.
7. 10 A socket
• For current measurements as of 600 mA, the 10
A socket must be used.
8. ON/OFF switch/measuring function selection
switch
• Switches the device on. Measuring function is
selected according to switch position.
9. RAN
• Pressing the button selects the measuring range
manually.
10. Hold/BL
• Pressing the button saves the measured value in
the display. A long button press switches the dis-
play illumination on.
11. REL/APO
• When the button is pressed, relative measure-
ment is activated. A long button press can be
used to switch the Auto-Power-Off function on or
off.
12. Display
• Used to read the measured values.
Direct voltage measurement/V=
Use the selection switch to set a suitable range. Con-
nect the black measuring lead to the [COM] socket
and the red measuring lead to the [V/Ω] socket. Con-
nect the measuring leads to the test object. Read the
measurement results from the display. The polarity of
the voltage is also shown.
