Operation
Check before switching on!
DANGER! Risk of injury! Do not oper-
ate the machine unless you did not find
any faults. If a part has become defective,
make sure to replace it before you use
the machine again.
Check the safe condition of the machine:
– Check it for visual defects.
– Check that all parts of the machine have been
securely fitted.
– Check that all safety devices are in proper condi-
tion.
– Check if the chisel has been securely clamped
into the tool holder.
Switching on
Note: Allow the machine to warm up in
low temperature conditions or after it has
not been used for a longer period of time.
– Hold the machine with both hands.
– Press the On/Off switch (5).
Chiselling
Note: exercising more pressure will not
increase the machine's effectiveness.
– Slightly push down on the machine to prevent it
from bouncing uncontrollably.
– To turn the machine off, let go of the On/Off
switch.

– Unscrew the lid (7) and fill with grease (recom-
mended grease: ► Technical data – p. 23).
Storing, transport
DANGER! Risk of injury! Store the
machine in such a way that it cannot be
started by unauthorised people and that it
is inaccessible to children.
Ensure that no one can be injured by the
machine.
– Use the included transport case to store and
transport the machine.
Malfunctions and troubleshooting
In the event of a malfunction...
DANGER! Risk of injury! Improperly
conducted repairs may prevent your
machine from working safely. Such
repairs will endanger you and your sur-
roundings.
Malfunctions are often caused by minor faults. You
can easily remedy most of these yourself. Please
consult the following table before contacting the ven-
dor. You will save yourself a lot of trouble and possibly
money too.

Disposal
Disposal of the appliance
A crossed-out wheelie bin icon means: Bat-
teries and rechargeable batteries, electrical
or electronic devices must not be disposed of
with household waste. They may contain
substances that are harmful to the environ-
ment and human health.

Remove cuttings with a
vacuum cleaner or a
brush.
