Troubleshooting
Symptom
The appliance
does not work.
Food is not cooked.
Food is not fried evenly.
Basket will not slide into
appliance properly.
Smoke coming from
appliance.
French fries are not fried
evenly.

Possible Cause
The appliance is not plugged in.
The appliance is plugged into an outlet that is shared
with other devices.
The appliance has not been turned on by setting the
preparation time and temperature.
The basket is not inserted into the appliance and
"Out" is shown on the display.
The Basket is overloaded.
The temperature is set too low.
Some foods need to be shaken during
the cooking process.
The Basket is overloaded.
The Fry Tray is not placed in the Basket correctly.
Too much oil is being used.
The Basket has grease residue from the
previous operation.
Potatoes are not prepped properly.
Fries are not cut evenly.
Fries are too crowded.
Potatoes are not rinsed properly during preparation.
Solution
Plug the Power Cable into an electrical outlet.
Plug the appliance into a dedicated
electrical outlet.
Press a cooking preset. Press the PLAY button
and cooking will begin.
Insert the basket fully. If properly inserted,
the display will show the selected time or
temperature.
Use smaller batches for more even frying.
Raise temperature and continue cooking.
See "Shaking" section in "Instructions for
Use".
Do not fill the Basket above the top of the
basket.
Gently push the Fry Tray into the Basket until
it sits on the fry tray holders in either the
upper or lower position.
Wipe down to remove excess oil.
Clean the Basket after each use.
Consult a recipe for potato type and prep.
Cut fries thinner or reshape fries.
Spread fries out or cook a smaller batch.
Pat dry to remove excess starch.
