• Wear non-slip safety footwear for all work.
• Wear appropriate work gloves for all work.
• Depending on the application, wear the prescribed respiratory protection.
• Always wear clothing that is practical and close-fitting, but not restrictive.
• Always wear clothing made of sturdy material for all work.
Saw blade safety
• The dimensions of the saw blades must correspond to the dimensions of
the appliance. Incorrect saw blades cannot be adequately shielded or
controlled.
• Never use a damaged saw blade. Check the saw blade for chipping and
cracks before each use.
• Keep the mains cable away from rotating saw blades. Risk of injury from
being drawn into rotating parts.
Safety instructions against kickback
• Hold the device firmly and bring your body and arms into a position in
which you can absorb the recoil forces. Always use the additional handle,
if available, to have the greatest possible control over kickback forces or
reaction torques during start-up.
• Be particularly careful when working around corners, sharp edges, etc.
Prevent insert tools from bouncing back from the workpiece and jamming.
• Avoid blocking the cut-off wheel or applying too much pressure. Do not
make excessively deep cuts.
• If the saw blade jams or you interrupt the work, switch off the device and
hold it still until the saw blade has come to a standstill. Never try to pull the
saw blade out of the cut while it is still running, otherwise a kickback may
occur.
• Do not switch the appliance on again while it is in the workpiece. Allow the
saw blade to reach its full speed before continuing the cut carefully.
• Support panels or large workpieces to reduce the risk of kickback due to a
jammed saw blade.
• Be particularly careful when making "pocket cuts" in existing walls or other
areas that are not visible.
• Risk of cutting the limbs! Never allow body parts to enter the danger zone
of the appliance during work processes.
• Never operate the appliance with the cover open or loose.
