Using for the first time
– Place the device on an even, non-slip and heat-
resistant surface.
• The base must not be soft.
• Please note that plastic or furniture paint may
damage the rubber feet of the unit.
• Before first use, we recommend boiling water 3-4 times
in a suitable pot to remove any production-related resi-
dues from the cooking surface. Any odour or smoke
that may occur are normal and disappear after a short
time. This is not a malfunction of the device. Ensure suf-
ficient ventilation, e.g. by opening a window.
Operation
Check before switching on!
Check to make sure the device is in a safe operating
condition:
– Check to make sure there are no visible defects.
– Check to make sure all device components are
correctly mounted.
– Check to ensure that all switches have been set
to [0], before plugging the device into the power
socket.
– Check whether your cookware is suitable for induction.
Suitable cookware

Only use cookware with a flat bottom. The
floor must not have any unevenness over
the entire surface.
24
• Suitable: Stainless steel pots with ferromagnetic
base, cast iron pots and pans, enamelled iron
pots/pans.
• You can test whether your dishes are suitable with
a magnet: If this sticks to the bottom of the pot
from the outside, the pot can be used on the
induction hob.
• Pots and pans made of aluminium, copper, glass,
ceramics and partly stainless steel are not suita-
ble.
• The bottom diameter of the cooking pots should
be between 12 and 26 cm.
• Adjust the power or temperature level to the cook-
ware used. Too high a step can cause damage to
small pots.
• Coated pots and pans can cause damage to the
coating if overheated. For cookware, please
observe the manufacturer's information on the
range of application of the pots in general. If in
doubt, select a lower cooking level to avoid dam-
age.
• Always place the pots exactly in the middle of the
hob to avoid error messages and automatic
switch-off.
Basic preparation
• Clean the hob and the bottom of the pot before
using it and do not place any cloths, aluminium foil
or other objects between the bottom of the pot
and the hob.
• Never place empty cooking containers on the
hob. The extreme heat development damages
these or causes enamelled coatings to flake off!
• Please note that plastic or furniture paint may
damage the rubber feet of the unit.
• Before the first use, we recommend boiling water 3-4
times in a suitable pot to remove any production-
related residues from the hob. Any odour or smoke
that may occur are normal and disappear after a short
time. This is not a malfunction of the device. Ensure
sufficient ventilation, e.g. by opening a window.
Cooking
Note: The unit detects if it is put into oper-
ation without cookware or if the cookware
is removed during operation. In these
cases, an acoustic signal sounds, the
error message [E0] appears on the dis-
play and the unit switches off after approx.
30 seconds.
– Place a suitable cooking utensil in the middle of
the hob (1). The cooking utensils must not be
empty.
– Connect the power cable. A buzzer sounds and
all LEDs and the display flash for 1 second. The
display (5) shows [Lo] and the device is ready for
operation.
Note: The child safety lock is activated
when [L] appears in the display. All of the
buttons are deactivated with the excep-
tion of the lock button [ ] and the On/Off
button [ ] (8).
– Press the lock button [ ] (2) for 3 seconds to
deactivate or activate the child lock accordingly.
• You can activate the child safety lock while cook-
ing. The device retains the configured settings.
