This guide will assist you in effectively repairing your damaged
aluminium poles, ensuring your outdoor equipment remains sturdy
and reliable during your camping expeditions.
Please follow these step-by-step instructions meticulously to
achieve a successful repair.
Step 1: Assess the damage
Identify if there are any damaged pole sections. Look for any
cracks, bends, or breaks in the poles. If the shock cord inside the
poles is damaged or worn out, it will need to be replaced as well.
Reuse any undamaged parts if possible.
If the diameter of the damaged pole section is not the same as the
diameter of the DIY pole set, you might need to replace the full
length of the damaged pole set.
Step 2: Gather tools and parts
Unpack the DIY repair set provided with the shock cord,
pole sections, and screw-in pole ends.
Additionally, you might need a scissor or knife, a metal saw,
a measuring tape and a lighter or matches for this repair.
Step 3: Disassemble the broken pole set
Untie the knot between the screw in pole ends and the shock cord
on the broken pole set and disassemble the pole sections.
If necessary use pliers to unscrew any broken or bent pole ends.
