A cue represents a comprehensive, static snapshot capturing all
DMX values across every port. The device accommodates up to
99 cues, each with customizable fade and hold times, and includes
a link feature for sequencing multiple cues into loops, enabling the
creation of compact "mini" cuelists. Cues serve multiple purposes,
such as providing standalone operation, acting as a backup in
case of signal loss, and can be assigned to switch inputs. This
last function is particularly useful in emergency situations like fire
alarms, where the system must transition to a predefined state and
halt all console playback. Furthermore, cues can be transmitted as
Ethernet Universes, allowing a single device to control numerous
other Netron nodes.
