Cleaning and maintenance
4.1
Introduction
• As your appliance runs on pellets, it must be checked and cleaned regularly. Regular maintenance
ensures smooth operation and optimum performance.
• The user must clean the appliance regularly as described in these instructions.
• Do not use aggressive or abrasive products for external cleaning. Do not wash the unit with water
or other liquids, as these could damage the internal electrical wiring and thus endanger the user.
• WARNING: Do not get the appliance wet and do not touch the electrical parts with wet hands.
touch with wet hands.
• Never suck up hot ashes - the hoover used could be damaged.
• All cleaning and maintenance work must be carried out when the appliance is completely cold.
4.2
Intervall
• Unless otherwise stated, the operations listed below are compulsory and cannot be postponed
beyond the specified time.
• Clean the pane with a cotton cloth or kitchen paper and a special glass cleaner for stoves and fire-
places. Glass cleaner for stoves and fireplaces if the glass has soot residue.
4.3
Before each refill
• Remove the burner/pellet container and clean it with a brush.
• Clear the openings at the bottom of any blockages caused by combustion residues. If necessary,
remove the burner tube and clean it with a wire brush and, if possible, a hoover.
• CAUTION: If an ash extractor is used, make sure that no embers are burning and that the ash is cold.
• Remove the pellet tank and clean the socket of the tank inside the appliance; especially also the
insulating plate.
• After cleaning and for each load, it is recommended to pay very careful attention to the correct
installation of the tank in the appropriate seat.
• The use of certified and therefore high quality pellets allows the appliance to operate correctly at
the specified output and cleaning and maintenance work is less onerous. The presence of silica
agglomerates on the bottom indicates poor fuel quality (see above).
4.4
Weekly
• Vacuum the compartments inside the appliance and underside of the metal casing.
• Check the flue connections and make sure they are clean and free of blockages.
