Before start-up
• All preliminary checks must be carried out each time the unit is ignited for the first time or after a
longer period of non-use.
• Check that the safety distances have been observed when setting up the unit!
• Check that there are no flammable materials in the vicinity of the unit.
(see section «Safety distances»).
• In case of ignition after a long period of non-use, all parts of the fireplace, the glass and the fan
area must have been checked and cleaned of ash and dust before use.
• Make sure that there are no flammable materials in the combustion chamber (documents, cables,
paper, etc.).
• Check that there are no obstructions at the top of the appliance near the smoke outlet.
• Check that the unit is flat, stable and perfectly vertical..
