Decalcifying
From time to time, it may be necessary to decalcify your water kettle. The intervals are determined by the
lime content of your water. In the event of a small amount of lime having deposited itself in the water
container, we recommend using citric acid or vinegar for carrying out a gentle decalcification. If the
appliance switches off before the water boils, it probably needs to be decalcified.
· Fill the kettle up to the rim with a solution of citric acid or vinegar (in case of an intense calcification a
decalcification agent should be used).
· Allow the kettle to stand until the lime has completely dissolved.
· Pour off a part of the solution until the liquid level is between the 500 ml and the MAX marking. Bring the
solution to a boil at and pour it away afterwards.
· Refill the water kettle with clear water up to the MAX marking and bring it to a boil again.
· Rinse the water kettle thoroughly with clear water.
· Make sure that the appliance is completely dry before using it again or storing it.
