· Attention: If you fill in too little water (below the 500 ml marking), the service life of the heating coil can be
shortened. If you put too much water in (above the MAX marking), the water can boil over and
cause scalding.
Automatic Safety Cut-Off
The kettle is fitted with an automatic cut-off to prevent overheating, in case there is no or not enough water.
If this should occur, switch off the kettle, remove the mains plug and wait for approx. 10 minutes. Thereafter
fill it with water up to the 500 ml marking at least, reinsert the mains plug into the socket and switch on the
kettle as normal.
Cleaning and care
· Always pull out the power cord before cleaning and allow the appliance to cool down.
· Do not use any sharp or pointed objects, benzine, solvents, scrubbing brushes or abrasive cleaning agents
for cleaning.
· Wipe the kettle and the base plate with a soft, slightly moistened cloth only.
· Attention: Never immerse the water kettle, the base plate, the cable or the plug in water or other liquids
and do not clean these parts in the dishwasher, as this can cause a short circuit.
· Make sure that the kettle and the base plate are completely dry before using the water kettle again.
Proceed as follows in order to clean the removable limescale filter:
· Switch off the device, remove the plug from the socket and allow the kettle to cool down.
· Open the lid. Hold the limescale filter tight and press the locking hook down with light pressure to remove it.
· Clean the filter using warm water and a mild detergent.
· Then dry it with a clean cloth.
· Now, reinsert the filter by first inserting the lower hook and then snap the top hook into place. Make sure
that it is in the correct position.
· Make sure that the appliance is completely dry before using it again or storing it.
