Before the first use
· Read through the operating instructions and safety advice carefully first.
· Remove all packaging material and dispose of it properly.
· Rinse the interior of the kettle with warm water. Wipe the outside with a soft cloth, slightly moistened if
needed. Thoroughly dry the kettle off afterwards.
· Caution: Do not use any caustic liquids or abrasive cleaning agents.
· Unwind the cable completely and insert the plug into a suitable socket.
· Fill the kettle with cold water up to the MAX - marking, close the lid completely and boil the water.
Pour this water away and repeat this procedure 2 – 3 times.
· The water kettle is ready for use now.
Use
· Place the base of the water kettle on a suitable surface (not on a metal surface; not on fabrics etc.).
· Open the lid by pressing the button at the handle.
· Make sure that the removable limescale filter is installed properly.
· Hold the kettle only by the handle and pour the desired amount of water (between 500 ml and MAX) and
close the lid completely.
· Hint: For hygienic reasons always use fresh water.
· Just now plug the power cord into a suitable socket.
· Press the on / off switch down to switch on the kettle. Pay attention to the acoustic "Klick" and the
illuminated control lamp.
· As soon as the water boils, the water kettle will switch off automatically. The control lamp will go out and
you will hear again an acoustic click.
· You can end the cooking process prematurely by pressing the on / off switch.
· Always unplug the appliance after use and allow the appliance to cool down.
· When pouring the water, keep the lid closed. Risk of scalding! Touch the kettle by the handle only and be
careful not to come into contact with the hot steam.
