Materials to be avoided in the microwave oven
• Aluminium tray: may cause arcing. Transfer food into a microwave-safe dish.
• Food carton with metal handle: may cause arcing. Transfer food into a microwave-safe dish.
• Metal or metal-trimmed utensils: metal shields the food from microwave energy. Metal trim
may cause arcing.
• Metal twist ties: may cause arcing and could cause a fire in the oven.
• Paper bags: may cause a fire in the oven.
• Plastic foam: plastic foam may melt or contaminate the liquid inside when exposed to high
temperature.
• Wood: wood will dry out when used in the microwave oven and may split or crack.
USE
CONTROL PANEL
1. "Micro power": microwave power setting button
2. Rotary knob: for setting time or weight
3. "Defrost/Clock": defrost/clock setting
4. "Pause/Cancel": pause/cancel button
5. "Express": express button for rapid use
6. "Auto Cooking": automatic cooking programmes
7. "Instant/Start": instant button for instant use/start
SETTING THE CLOCK "DEFROST/CLOCK"
To set the clock on the appliance, do the following:
• Press the "Defrost/Clock" button and hold for a few seconds to set the time. The time can be
set from "0:00" to "23:59".
• Turn the knob to set the hours between 0-23. Press the "Defrost/Clock" button again to confirm
the hours and to set the minutes.
• Turn the knob to set the minutes between 0-59. Press the "Defrost/Clock" button again to
confirm.
MICROWAVE "MICRO POWER"
There are 5 different power settings for the microwave.
• Press the microwave button "Micro power" to select the desired power setting. "100P" will
appear on the display, which means that the microwave will operate at 100% power. Press the
button repeatedly to adjust the power.
