INSTRUCTIONS PERTAINING TO RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY TO PERSONS
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Warning– When using this product, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
• Read all the instructions before using the product.
• To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when the product is used near children.
• Do not put fingers or hands into the product.
• Do not expose the product to rain or snow.
• Use of an attachment not recommended or sold by power pack manufacturer may result in a risk of fire,
electric shock, or injury to persons.
• To reduce risk of damage to the electric plug and cord, pull the plug rather than the cord when disconnecting
the power pack.
• Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may
exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
• Do not operate the power pack with a damaged cord or plug, or a damaged output cable.
• When charging the internal battery, work in a well ventilated area and do not restrict ventilation in any way.
• Do not use the product in excess of its output rating. Overload outputs above rating may result in a risk of
fire or injury.
• When charging a device, the product may feel warm. This is a normal operating condition and should not be
cause of concern.
• Do not disassemble the product. take it to a qualified service person when service or repair is required.
Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the power pack from the outlet before attempting any instructed
service.
02
• Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will
ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.
• Attach output cables to a battery and chassis as indicated below. Never allow the output clamps to touch
one another.
a) Instructions shall include step by step directions for the proper use of the booster function detailing the
correct steps to connect and disconnect the booster cables to the battery.
b) Each step shall be a different numbered item.
• CAUTION: Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
• Do not expose a power pack to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 130℃
may cause explosion.
• In normal conditions, the battery performance will decline over several years.
• In case of fire, only a dry powder fire extinguisher is suitable for the product.
• Do not clean the product with harmful chemicals or detergents.
• Misuse, dropping or excessive force may cause product damage.
• When disposing of secondary cells or batteries, keep cells or batteries of different electrochemical systems
separate from each other.
• Disposal of a battery into a fire or hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting off a battery, can result in an
explosion.
• Leaving a battery in an extremely high-temperature environment or low air pressure can result in an
explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
• Unplug the AC power cable to disconnect from the line voltage.
• WARNING: GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
• This product must be grounded. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of
least resistance for electrical current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This product is equipped with a
cord with an equipment grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet
that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
• WARNING – Improper connection of the equipment grounding conductor may result in an electric shock.
Check with a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the product is properly grounded. Do
not modify the plug provided with the product. If it does not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a
qualified electrician.
• WARNING: Under Inverter mode, to reduce the risk of electric shock connect only one electrical equipment
to the socket outlet.
• The mains plug/appliance coupler is used as disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily
operable.
• The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
• Please refer the information on exterior bottom enclosure for electrical and safety information before
installing or operating the apparatus.
• If the external flexible cord of this inverter is damaged, it shall be replaced by a special cord or assembly
available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally
occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the
battery may cause irritation or burns.
• Do not open or mutilate batteries. Released electrolytes are harmful to the skin and eyes. It may be toxic.
• A battery can present a risk of electric shock and burns by high short-circuit current.
• Failed batteries can reach temperatures that exceed the burn thresholds for touchable surfaces.
• The mains socket outlet that supplies the UPS shall be installed near the UPS and shall be easily accessible.
• The length of the output cords externally connected to the AC output port of the device cannot exceed 10m.
• The product is Category C1 UPS and it is not intended to be used in an industrial environment.
The following precautions should be observed when working on batteries:
a) disconnect the charging source prior to connecting or disconnecting battery terminals;
b) do not wear any metal objects including watches and rings;
c) do not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries;
d) use tools with insulated handles;
e) wear rubber gloves and boots;
f) determine if battery is either intentionally or inadvertently grounded. Contact with any part of a grounded
battery can result in electric shock and burns by high short-circuit current. The risk of such hazards can be
reduced if grounds are removed during installation and maintenance by a skilled person.
