TESTING AND COMMISSIONING
––– PHASE 7 –––
CAUTION! – The operations described in this chapter must be
carried out exclusively by qualified personnel, in accordance with
these instructions and with the local safety regulations in force
7.1 - TESTING
Ensure that all the instructions and warnings indicated in Chapter
1 have been strictly observed.
Use the push-button panel to control the opening and closing movements
of the shutter, while verifying the following aspects: a) the shutter's up-
ward and downward movements must match the direction of the arrows
appearing on the buttons of the control push-button panel; b) the motor
must stop the shutter automatically in the points set for the limit switches;
c) the shutter must move in a smooth and fluid manner, without any fric-
tion points.
7.2 - COMMISSIONING
The automation can only be commissioned once all the testing
phases have been successfully completed. Partial or "makeshift"
commissioning is strictly forbidden.
Prior to commissioning the automation, the owner must be adequately
informed on its operation, on the hazards and risks still present and on
the importance of periodically inspecting its parts to prevent malfunctions.
WHAT TO DO IF...
(guide to problem resolution)
The motor does not move even though the power supply is pres-
ent:
– check whether the thermal protection has been activated: in this case,
it is sufficient to wait until the motor cools;
– check the presence of the mains voltage and the correspondence be-
tween the measured values and the engine plate data, by measuring
between Common and the electrical phase supplied; to finish, try sup-
plying the opposite electric phase;
– check whether the two limit switches, due to incorrect adjustment, ac-
tivate at the same time; in this case, turn the two adjustment screws a
few turns in a clockwise direction (+).
If, at the end of these checks, the motor persists in not moving, there is
probably a serious failure.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance must be performed in strict observance of the safety
provisions in this manual and according to current legislation and
standards.
The automation's devices do not require special maintenance; however
they should be checked periodically (at least every six months) to ensure
their full efficiency.
