Use of pumps Wilo Star RS 15/4 and Wilo Star RS 15/6:
Rotational speed switching
The number of pump rotations is of 3-step regulation with a knob on the electronic module of
the pump. If rooms are not heated sufficiently, the number of pump rotations may be too low.
Then arises the necessity to switch the pump to a higher number of rotations. However, if the
pump is set to a too high number of rotations, flow noise is generated in pipes, and in
particular in thermostat valves throttled. The noise may be removed by setting the pump to a
lower number of rotations. Switching to a different number of rotations is done by turning a
knob on the clamp box. 1 being the highest and 3 the lowest number of rotations. Number of
rotations at the level 3 is approx. 40 to 50% of the maximum number of rotations while the
current consumed is reduced to 50%.
Venting of pump rotor chamber
Venting of the pump rotor chamber is done automatically after a short period of operation. Pump is not damaged by short-term
work with insufficient lubrication. If the rotor chamber needs to be vented, proceed
as follows:
Turn off the pump and close the pipes on
the delivery side of the pump.
Carefully
loosen
(caution, hot steam!) with a suitable
screwdriver and remove entirely (turn
anticlockwise).
Carefully turn the pump shaft several
times,
After 15 to 30 seconds re-tighten the venting screw and turn the pump on

Use of pump Wilo Yonos Para RS15/6 RKA:
Operation mode switching:
The Wilo Yonos Para RS15/6 RKA pump is operated by a red
knob on the electronic pump module. By turning the red knob
appropriate control modes can be selected. Turn the knob, select
an appropriate control mode and enter the differential pressure
setting. For ∆p-c control mode (recommended for floor
heating), turn the red knob to the right from the centre
position. For ∆p-v control mode, turn the red knob to the left
from the centre position.

Filling and venting:
Fill and vent the system properly. If the rotor space needs to be vented, the venting procedure may be activated manually (the
venting procedure removes air accumulating in the pump rotor space. It is no to vent the entire system, which must be carried
out in advance). When the red knob set on the symbol of the venting procedure (middle position), the venting function starts
after 3 seconds. The venting function lasts for 10 minutes and during this time the LED ring around the red knob flashes green.
During this procedure, flow noise may be heard. The venting process may can be stopped at any time by turning the red knob.
After 10 minutes, the pump stops and automatically returns to the operating mode ∆p-c max. Then, if the pump is to operate in
a different mode and with a different setting of lifting height, those values should be set for the pump.

The set value of the differential pressure H is maintained
in an admissible range of flow at a constant fixed value,
up to maximum parameters. This type of control is
recommended for floor heating circuits or for upgrading
of old heating systems with large diameter piping, as well
as fixed-parameter heater feed circuits.
The set value of the differential pressure H rises linearly
in an admissible range of flow ½H and H. The differential
pressure generated by the pump adapts to the desired
set value of the differential pressure. This type of control
is used in the case of heating systems with radiators as it
reduces thermostatic valve flow noise.
Autonomous venting procedure (10 minutes). The pump runs alternately at a high and low
speeds in order to facilitate the concentration of air bubbles and to
subsequently remove them from the system through an air vent.
