2. Connection of the modem in the control unit
The wires must be connected according to the following colour
code system:

3. Settings
The following settings must be made:
„OK" switch light on
„OK" main menu
Select „Settings" item and
confirm by pressing „OK"
Communication
Select „Communication" item and
confirm by pressing „OK"
Enter access code 1000
Assign station name
Select „Station name" item and
confirm by pressing „OK"
Enter station name
Enter own number
Select „Own number" item and
confirm by pressing „OK"
Enter own number with national code (e.g. +49 for Ger-
many) and
confirm by pressing „OK"
Select modem type
Change from „Direct connection" to „GSM modem" and
confirm by pressing „OK" → When changing the setting to
GSM modem the communication is activated
Enter PIN
Enter the „PIN" (sent by the network provider together with
the SIM card) here and
confirm by pressing „OK"

SMS-Center
Enter the SMS-Center number with the country code
(overview of the German SMS-Center as of 11/2013 is
enclosed). If fields are not used, the cursor keys must be
pressed until the fields are empty.
Confirm by pressing „OK"
Enter SMS-destination 1-3
„SMS-destination 1-3": Enter the number of the person(s)
to be informed in the event of a malfunction (can be up to
three different numbers).
Confirm by pressing „OK" and then press „ESC" to return to
the main menu or wait for 1 minute
4. Functional test
To check whether the SIM card has dialled into the mobile net-
work, send a test message:
„OK" switch light on
„OK" main menu
Select „maintenance" item and
confirm with „OK".
NOTICE
A test message is only sent if the „Events" option was
previously activated for SMS-destination 1. This setting
can be changed again, if necessary, after sending the
test message.
Manual operation
Select „manual operation" item and
confirm with „OK".
Select „communication" item and
confirm with „OK".
Select „test message" and
confirm with „OK".
Check whether the modem is flashing
✓ Test message has been transmitted
5. Possible error causes for the diodes flashing:
Flashing quickly
Repeated flashing
If there is no data connection / network connection, the recep-
tion signal may be too weak. In this case, a magnetic base aer-
ial with an optional extension cable can be retrofitted and used
instead of the standard aerial.
General information:
Actuation of an operating key: no key sounds, background
lighting switches on for 1 minute.
Selected menu items are highlighted (by reversed colours)
and shown by a pictogram
Movement in the menu is by means of the cursor UP and
DOWN keys, as well as OK for confirmation and ESC for
one step/menu item back
