Fitting/replacing the battery
Open the end cap 8 by twisting in an anti-clockwise direction. To change the battery, remove the empty battery 7 from
the screwdriver handle 6 . Then insert the charged battery 7 into the screwdriver handle 6 . Ensure the battery 7 pole
terminals are in the right position („-" in the end cap 8 ). Replace the end cap 8 on the speedE, turning it in a clockwise
direction.
Select start and direction of rotation
Twist the ring switch 5 to start the automatic assisted screw-driving. The direction of drive is determined by the direction
that the ring switch is turned (clockwise/anti-clockwise).
If the ring switch 5 is released, it automatically returns to its home position and the screwdriver stops rotating.
The speedE can then be used as a normal screwdriver.
Note: There is only one rotation speed, which provides a max. of 0.4 Nm to assist with screw fastening. The user can apply
higher fastening force manually if required. The user can combine activated drive and manual fastening.
Switching lighting on or off
You can activate the ring switch 5 to turn on the light 4 . Tap on the ring switch 5 briefly to illuminate without activating
the electric motor.
Note: The light comes on for 3 seconds after you activate the ring switch.
Battery level indicator
If the light 4 flashes, it indicates that the speedE battery is low (<20%). Electric assisted screw-driving will still work when
the charge level is at 20%. If the charge level continues to fall, only the light 4 will work to indicate that the battery 7 is
empty.
Loading the batteries
Plug the charger into the USB port to connect to the power circuit. The charge level indicator first flashes red briefly and then
lights up green, telling you that the charger is ready for operation.
Info: The charge level indicator will light up red if the batteries are charging. It will change to green once the battery is
charged.
Instructions for use
Only place the speedE on the screw when the electric assisted screw-driving is switched off. Rotating tools may slip if
switched on.
