Installation and disassembly
Installation
Take safety precautions before installing the flow controller
(e.g. shut off the pipeline).
Use suitable sealing methods.
Check accessibility of the threads, improve mating threads
if needed.
For frequent temperature changes in the medium: Orient
Balluff logo on flat at right angles to the line.
For low flow rates: Align Balluff logo against the flow
direction.
Note immersion depth of the flow controller – maintain
sufficient spacing from opposite pipe wall (see Fig. 6).

Maintain clear pipe sections in front of and behind the flow
controller (see Fig. 7).

If deposits and air pockets in the pipe are possible, mount
sideways (see Fig. 8).

In open systems install the flow controller in a riser.
Disassembly
For disassembly the same safety notes apply as for
installation. Take into consideration high temperatures of
the components or medium.
Maintenance
Flow controllers which are continuously in contact with a
medium must be regularly cleaned.
Do not modify or repair the flow controller; repairs are to be
performed only by the manufacturer.
After reinstalling the flow controller, repeat setting of the
switchpoint on the signal converter.

Observe the national regulations for disposal.
