The sensor is designed to reliably detect walking people.
Microwave sensors can detect movement behind walls (brick, dry wood, acrylic board, glass, etc.).
The detection behind walls can be reduced by choosing a lower sensitivity setting (use Dip switches
3 and 4 to choose a sensitivity lower than 100%).
Other undesired detections can be caused by: Strong electromagnetic fields; heavy vibrations; water
running in pipes. Detection area (sensitivity) can be reduced caused by big metal surfaces nearby or
water on the ground.
Initialization:
After power on, the sensor will warm up and calibrate the environment for about 120 seconds. In the
first 30 seconds, the light will stay on, then it will be off for 90 seconds. After the light has flashed 3
times it operates normally. If there is movement during the calibration period, the off-time will be
extended. If the off-time is extended (no flashing occurred) without movement, this indicates that
there is too much disturbance in the environment.
