SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Failure to follow the safety precautions may result in the risk of serious injury.
- Do not exceed the maximum weight limit of 125kg.
- It is strictly forbidden for the user to modify the wheelchair without the agreement of the technician. For
maximum stability, the rear wheel axle must be fixed in the rearmost position. Any movement of the wheel axle
will affect the stability of the wheelchair when moving. If the wheelchair's rear wheel axle is moved forward,
please check that it is stable before using the wheelchair. Before tilting the wheelchair seat cushion to the limit
or moving the rear wheel axle forwards, the stability of the wheelchair must be tested. To ensure safety, users
are advised to check the stability of the wheelchair carefully before using it.
- Do not use both hands to exert pressure on the sides of the frame or handle when folding. Improper folding
or opening of the wheelchair can easily cause damage.
- The brakes on both sides of the wheelchair are for braking only when parked. They are not braking devices.
They must not be used to decelerate or brake when travelling. If you are unaccompanied, you can hold the
steering wheel and brake gradually.
- Do not rely on inertia to get the wheelchair up the steps, as this could cause an accident or damage the
wheelchair.
- Do not go up or down stairs unaided. When going up and down stairs, the person accompanying you must not
move the occupant at the same time as the wheelchair, as this could endanger the occupant and damage the
wheelchair.
- If any parts are damaged, broken or worn, contact your dealer.
- Unless specifically instructed otherwise, all wheelchair adjustment operations must be carried out with no-one
in the wheelchair.
- When you are sitting in a wheelchair and you want to pick up objects other than the wheelchair (such as the
front, sides or back of the wheelchair), make sure that your body is not tilted too much to prevent the wheelchair
from losing weight and tipping over.
- Before using the wheelchair, check that the armrests, handles, fixing screws, etc. are not loose. If this is the
case, please contact a professional technician to rectify the problem before using the wheelchair normally.
Before using the wheelchair, please practise using it with an accompanying person.
- It is strictly forbidden for the user to perform a balancing act in which the front wheel is lifted off the ground
or both front wheels are lifted off the ground, so as not to endanger others or themselves. Do not bend below
the knees to pick up objects from the ground.
- Do not change your sitting position when leaning back, otherwise the wheelchair will tip over.
- The wheelchair must not be used on the escalator or stairs, as this could cause serious injury.
- When a person in a wheelchair wishes to transfer from one wheelchair to another, they must first park it in
the nearest and most suitable place, then turn the front wheel of the wheelchair towards the place where they
are to transfer. Please check that the wheelchair is braked before using it.
- When transporting the wheelchair, please grasp the fixed part of the wheelchair and not the soft parts, such
as the armrests and footrests.
- Do not step on the pedal to get in and out of the wheelchair; be sure to fold or roll the pedal to the side first.
The user must not stand on the footrest during use to prevent the wheelchair from tipping over.
- When using a wheelchair on a sloping road, do not tip the wheelchair over or change direction abruptly. Do
not brake suddenly when going downhill to avoid the risk of falling forwards.
- It is advisable to drive on level ground when using a wheelchair, and not to drive on uneven roads. When you
encounter obstacles, you should take a diversion to avoid the risk of the wheelchair tipping over. When the user
drives the wheelchair themselves, they must maintain a constant speed, and the driving speed must be kept at
3~5km/h.
- A slope of less than 5° is the safe driving area for the wheelchair, and steeper slopes require the assistance of
other people. When getting on and off the wheelchair, maintain the corresponding front and rear positions and
keep the backrest upright on the slope. Long-term users should wear protective gloves to prevent hand injuries.
- Do not put your fingers in the wheel to avoid pinching your fingers.
- When used for patients, routine cleaning is carried out once a day. When replacing infected patients,
disinfectants must be used for complete disinfection.
