Scanning process for 35 mm or 120 negatives using a Smartphone
and the
DigitaLIZA Max
1. Make sure the Smartphone Stand [C] is attached to the Base
Plate [C1].
2. Open the Smartphone Clamp [C6] by turning the Smartphone
Clamp Knob [C8] counterclockwise.
3. Put your smartphone into the Smartphone Clamp [C6] and
tighten the Smartphone Clamp Knob [C8] by turning it
clockwise.
4. Make sure your smartphone is secured within the Smartphone
Clamp [C6] and ensure that you don't overtighten the
Smartphone Clamp Knob [C8].
5. Put the Backlight Panel with Built-in 120 Film Holder [B] onto the
Base Plate Slider [C2] of the Smartphone Stand Base Plate [C1].
6. If you are scanning 120 film, follow the steps in the previous
section to load your film into the Backlight Panel with Built-in
120 Film Holder [B].
7. If you are scanning 35 mm film, follow the steps in the
previous section to load your film into the 35 mm Film Holder
[A]. Put the 35 mm Film Holder [A] with film loaded on top of
the Backlight Panel with Built-in 120 Film Holder [B].
8. Position the Removable Spirit Level [A4] on top of the 120
Film Holder [B1] or into the Spirit Level Slot of the 35 mm Film
Holder [A].
9. Look at the Removable Spirit Level [A4] to make sure that the
scanning unit has been placed on a flat surface.
10. Press the Backlight On/Off Switch [B2] on the Backlight Panel
[B] to turn the backlight on.
11. Open the camera application on your smartphone and look at
the screen of your smartphone whilst sliding the Base Plate
Slider [C2] up & down, left & right to center the film frame on
your smartphone's camera screen.
12. Loosen the Smartphone Clamp Screw [C7] at the back of the
Smartphone Clamp [C6], then move the Smartphone Clamp
[C6] with your smartphone attached up & down carefully to
