7.2 Troubleshooting and technical service
This filter and its instructions are designed for domestic use, with no need for professional supervision, except for
exceptional cases. Here we shall describe the problems and causes which may arise after years of service of the filter
that you can repair yourself. If you cannot solve the problem, contact the pool manufacturer at the telephone indicated in
the instructions.
PROBLEM
The filter leaks through the hose
terminals
After the filter has started up, there is
no flow in the feedback nozzle.
Intermittent operation
The flow rate of the filter is low.
Water leaks through the filter opening.
The filter valve leaks through the drain
terminal.
The motor will not start up. There is no
noise or vibration.
The motor does not start up but a
buzzing sound can be heard.

CAUSE
Incorrect connection between the
terminals and the hoses.
The valve is not at the filtration setting.
The filter is above the level of the
unprimed water.
The pump is jammed and must be
dismantled.
The suction cover or the skimmer plug
has been inserted.
Low water level in skimmer
The filter is not primed.
Due to use, the filter is dirty.
The filter is not primed.
The connection between the valve and
the filter is dirty.
The metal band is loose.
Inner coupling damaged due to
improper use of chemical product.
Valve head broken due to improper
use.
(over-tightening)
No power in the electric line.
Loose motor terminals.
Drive shaft jams after prolonged
inactivity.
Condenser damaged
Motor damaged
Find out where the water is leaking.

SOLUTION
In threaded housings, place Teflon and
insert the hose terminals up until the
bottom of the housing and tighten the
clamps.
Disconnect the filter and place the
valve at the correct setting.
Place the filter in the correct position
and prime it.
See section 7.1
Remove the suction cover or the
skimmer plug.
Fill the pool and prime the filter.
Prime the filter.
Carry out a backwash operation.
Prime the filter.
Clean the sand from the opening.
Insert the coupling on the valve
properly and tighten the metal band
firmly.
Change the top valve cover.
Do not put chemical products in the
pre-filter skimmer basket.
Change the valve head. Do not over-
tighten.
Check that there is power in the
electric line.
Switch on the motor (section 6) and
check the motor terminals.

under product guarantee).
Contact the After-Sales Service of the
pool manufacturer.
Check the hose clamps.
If the leak is between the pump and the
motor, contact the After-Sales Service
of the pool manufacturer.
