IMPORTANT: these instructions are for your
GB
safety. Read them carefully before use and
keep them for future use.
Warning :
• Be particularly careful when using voltages above 30V AC (RMS) or 60V DC
to avoid damage or electric shock.
• Never apply an input voltage higher than the maximum value of the range
allowed by the device manufacturer. This monitor is design for low voltage
applications. (300V MAX IN AC/DC)
• Never use the tester to measure the line feeding a device that generates a
sudden surge in voltage as it may exceed the maximum permitted voltage
(e. g. motors).
• Never use the tester if the test plungers or leads are damaged or broken.
Make sure they are never wet or damp; check that the tester and the leads
are working properly before commissioning.
• Opening the housing gives access to hazardous voltage conductive parts.
Any action on internal circuits could result in hazardous use. Never use the
disassembled tester. Before using it: check that the housing is properly
closed and screwed in.
• Always make sure your fingers are behind the test plunger guard during
measurements. During the measurement, be careful not to come into direct
or indirect contact (e. g. with fingers) with high voltage conductive parts.
• Be sure to disconnect the plungers of the leads from any voltage source
and the circuit to be measured; remove the plungers when changing func
tion. Before performing any work (e. g. changing batteries) or before
turning the rotary switch to change functions, disconnect the tester.
• Before taking a measurement, make sure the function selector switch is in
the correct position.
• Before taking measurements, ensure the testing device is in good working
order: select mode
the alarm should sound. Measure an item with known voltage (a battery, for
example) and check whether the displayed voltage is correct. When these
two steps above are in order, you can start to use the multimeter.
• Cleaning instructions: Wipe the casing with a clean, dry cloth periodically.
Do not use abrasives, isopropyl alcohol or solvents.
• Any failure to follow the safety instructions may cause the risk of electric
shock, fire, explosion or destruction of the device or installations. If the
device is used in a different way to that indicated in this user guide, the
protection provided may be affected.
• Exceeding measurement capacities: The symbol "1" displays when the
measured signal exceeds the device's calibration capacities.
• Take care to take good note of the instructions contained in this user guide
