SES OF DISCS AND GRIDS
- Slicing discs FC-1 & FC-2 for potato
"chips".
- Slicing discs FC-3 and FC-6 for making 3
or 6mm thick slices of potato, carrot, bee-
troot, cabbage, cucumber, marrow, onion,
radish, etc.
- Curved slicing discs FCC-2, FCC-3 & FCC-
5 for slicing tomatoes, oranges, lemons,
bananas, apples, etc.
- Shredding discs FR, from 2 to 7 mm, for
grating cheese, vegetables, bread, nuts,
almonds, etc.
- Julienne discs FCE-2 & FCE-4 for strips or
batons of potato, carrot, celery, beetroot,
etc.
- Grating discs FR-1 & FR-8 for grating cho-
colate, hard cheese, bread, etc.
For CA-300:
- Chipping grids FF-6, FF-8 & FF-10 combi-
ned with FC-6, FC-8 & FC-10 slicing discs
for French fries.
- Dicing grids FM-8, FM-10 & FM-20 for use
with FC-3 to FC-10 slicing discs for dicing
potatoes, vegetables, fruits to
exquisite Russian or fruit salads, etc.
For CA-400:
- Chipping grid FFC10 combined with FC-10
slicing disc to produce French fries.
- Dicing grid FMC10 for use with FC-3 to
FC-10 slicing discs for dicing potatoes,
vegetables, fruits to
prepare exquisite
Russian or fruit salads, etc.
MAINTENANCE

IMPORTANT REMARKS

-Before removing the discs, stop the machi-
ne by pressing the stop push-button (F or
G) to "O".
- NEVER put your hand or any tool in the
food processor inlet and outlet, in order to
avoid any injury or damage to the blades.
- In the event the power supply cable
should get damaged and have to be repla-
ced, the repair may only be done by a SAM-
MIC approved assistance service.
- Before cleaning, overhauling or repairing
the CA-300 or CA-400 Veg. Prep. Machine,
it is necessary to unplug it from the mains.
- Discs and grids are sharp-edged and must
be handled with care when cleaning them.
- The level of noise emission for a machine
working loaded, measured at a height of
1.6 metre and a distance of 1 metre, is less
than 70 dB(A). Background noise: 32 dB(A).
CLEANING
- All the elements that are in contact with
food, should be cleaned inmediately after
use with hot water and a food compatible
detergent. Clear copiously with hot water
and desinfect with a soft cloth impregnated
with 90º ethyl alcohol.
- The outside of the machine MUST NOT BE
washed under a direct water jet; instead
you can use a wet cloth and any ordinary
prepare
detergent.
- Inspect periodically the back ventilation
grill, in case it would be clogged.
TIGHTENING THE GRID BLADES (CA-300)
Grids intended for "chips" are fitted with a
blade-tensing device. For re-tensing the
blades, just tighten the tensing screws by
means of a screwdriver.
SHARPENING OF KNIVES AND BLADES
Disc knives are easily disassembled and
sharpened, taking care to keep the cutting
angle. For sharpening, it's advisable to use
soft grinding stones.
The same instructions apply to the sharpe-
ning of grid blades.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE OF DUAL-TUBE
HEAD (CA-400)
- Rotate the universal head after removing
the lock.
- Push the head forwards to disassemble
the universal head.
- Install the dual-tube head, introducing the
back hinge first.
- Rotate the dual-tube head and lock it.
