- Special care should be given to the stagnation and durability of the collector's connections.
- Insulating materials will be resistant to high temperatures (>180ºC) and, for the exterior, resistant to UV radiation and bad wea-
ther.
- Collectors will be positioned in rows comprising, preferably, the same number of elements. The rows of collectors may be inter-
connected in parallel, series or series-parallel.
- Cut-off and bleed valves should be installed at the intake and output points of the different rows of collectors.
- Each row may comprise a maximum of 7 collectors arranged in parallel.
- The choice of diameter of the primary circuit copper tubes will depend on the surface area of the installed collectors and the con-
figuration chosen (series/parallel/series-parallel).
Orientative measurement: Ø 3/4" – 1" copper tube for installations of less than 20 m
OPERATION AND SERVICE
- To start up the circuit, it is recommended that a stagnation test be carried out. The test will be conducted with the collectors covered
and at a pressure of 5 bar. Once the test is complete, the circuit will be completely empty and the pressure will drop to 3 bar.
- Ensure that the installation is not disconnected when radiation occurs in order to avoid steam forming.
- Heat-carrying fluid will be an aqueous propylene glycol solution. The concentration will be determined according to the minimum tem-
perature at the location.
- In times of high radiation and low consumption, the heat-carrying liquid may overheat, which may cause damage to the installation.
It is therefore recommended that collectors be partially covered to prevent overheating or, if not, that a heat dissipation device be
designed.
- The preventive maintenance of the facilities the technical indications of the producer will be realised as.
