The „Temperature"-button helps to warm the water to avoid, that the mist with-
draw to much heat from the air.
In the display the water temperature can be seen next to the symbol .
By pressing the „Ionisation"-button there will be negative ions in the air. The effect
is like in nature. After a summer thunderstorm the air is filled with negative ions and
feels therefore very fresh.
Quantity of ions per cubic centimeter of air:
at high mountain 8000 ion/ccm
at the sea 4000ion/ccm
at the countryside 1200ion/ccm
in the city 200ion/ccm
in the office only 20 ion/ccm
By pressing the „Timer" button it is possible to set the timer function. Pressing one
time means 2h, with each further pressing the time enhances by 2h up to 10h wor-
king time. The adjusted time is visible in the display next to the symbol .
Humidity:
The percentage of water mist in a room and the air temperature are together the
relative humidity. The correlation between mist and air is varying at the different
temperatures. The higher the temperature is, the less water mist can be in the air.
In winter time the cold air comes from the outside and gets warmer by the room
temperature. The relative humidity is getting lower. The humidity must be increased
by a humidifier.
The relative humidity in a room should be:
bedroom or living room: 45-60%
sickroom: 40-50%
library: 40-50%
Cleaning:
When water with a lot of scale is used it can happen that some scale covers the
bottom of the water tank, in the base or on the surface of the ultrasonic transductor
surrounding area. When the scale covers the transductor too much the appliance
cannot work correctly.
If the appliance is not used for some time, e.g. during the summer or when too much
scale is inside the appliance, then do according following instructions.
The appliance must be unplugged and the water must be removed from the base and
out of the water tank by opening the cover at the bottom of the water tank and pour
out the water. Only close the water tank again when the appliance should be used
again, else the water tank should dry up completely.
