operate the product indoors, only outdoors!
■ Only use the product if it has been assembled properly in
accordance with these assembly and operating instructions
and is undamaged.

defective. This must be checked before each use.

level and fireproof surface.

minimum distance from combustible materials and surround-
ing surfaces has to be 3 m.
■ PLEASE NOTE! Keep children and pets well away from the
product! Never leave the product unattended when it is
burning or still hot. In particular, make sure that no children
or persons who are not capable of correctly recognising or
reacting to possible dangers come near the hot product.
■ PLEASE NOTE! Do not use any spirits or petrol for ignition or
reignition! Only use firelighters that comply with EN 1860-3!
■ Only burn natural coniferous or deciduous wood that is ready
for burning (no compressed wood products from these types
of wood).

the surfaces will still remain hot for some time.
■ Do not overload the product and do not allow the fire to get
too big.
■ Use only barbecue charcoal or charcoal briquettes (tested to
DIN EN 1860-2) for barbecuing.

fuel to glow for at least 30 minutes.
■ Only place the food on the grill when the fuel is covered with
a layer of ash.

■ In the event of a fire: smother the flames with a suitable
fireproof blanket or a fire extinguisher.
The product may stain. You should therefore place it on a
hard-wearing surface or a fireproof mat.
Using petrol or spirit to ignite the fuel may result in uncontrol-
lable heat caused by deflagrations. You should only use safe
materials for burning, such as solid firelighters.
L
Hardwood, i.e. wood from deciduous trees such as
beech, oak or birch, is particularly suitable as firewood.
Thanks to its high density, this wood gives a long and
even heat.
1. Stack some of the wood in the product. If you wish to bar-
becue, use charcoal / charcoal briquettes instead of wood.
Ignite one or two solid firelighters and place them in the
product.

2. Allow the solid firelighters to burn for two to four minutes.
3. Carefully add more wood or charcoal (briquettes). Never
throw wood into the fire!
4. After about 15 to 20 minutes, white ash appears on the
charcoal / charcoal briquettes. The charcoal is now ready for
barbecuing.
Distribute the charcoal (briquettes) evenly with a suitable
metal tool.
5. If you wish to barbecue, insert the greased grill surface / the
grill rack. Now you can start barbecuing.
